I'm really sorry your daughter is going through this. I feel for her, because I had a similar experience when I was a teenager and it was hard. In retrospect I can see that popularity had nothing to do with being kind or even interesting - it really just had to do with politics and who was willing to talk crap about other people. Still, knowing that doesn't make it any easier, especially at that age. Good for her for rising above it.
