Of course this is an extremely complex and controversial topic - so first of all, kudos for writing about it (and with such care and eloquence too). Overall, I would say that I think it should be legal. After seeing loved ones struggling through terminal illnesses, it's hard not to imagine that there are situations in which people should be given the option to end their lives in as comfortable and humane a way as possible, rather than live in pain every day. But, I hadn't heard about Zoraya ter Beek, and I do find that pretty upsetting. Perhaps she never would have been happy, but on the other hand, it's possible that she could have someday found answers for her mental health struggles. I guess I would need to research that aspect of euthanasia laws further in order to decide if I supported it in those cases or not.
(Sorry for the excessively long comment, by the way)
