Oh my gosh...what was she thinking?? What a terrible thing to do! Even if she didn't think children should believe in Santa, it's not her place to decide that. My parents personally didn't teach me to believe in him, and I was fine with that (actually, for some reason, I was always scared of mall Santas as a toddler, which might be part of the reason for their decision), but for my friends who did believe in Santa, this would have been completely traumatic. I'm sorry you had to find out that way.
