Thank you for sharing this story, Melissa! I'm so glad that you've found a city that feels more like home now. I think it's easy sometimes to feel like a failure if the whole "move to a major city in your 20s, work crazy hours, while also dating and having an exciting social life" thing doesn't work out, but honestly that just isn't the right fit for everyone! I'm not exactly sure where that expectation came from - I guess TV shows, like you mentioned Sex in the City.
